The Noh stage “Getsukeiden” was generously donated by Viscount Maeda Toshishige, the former lord of the Daishoji Domain.
In the late Meiji era, it was relocated from Tokyo by the seventh Asaba Yasueemon.
For the past 40 years, under the title of “Asaba Artistic Journey,” the stage has hosted performances of traditional Japanese performing arts such as Noh, Kyogen, Shinuchi, and dance. Renowned masters of these arts are invited to perform, presenting seasonal productions that capture the essence of Japanese tradition.
